The 66 Annual Congress of the KOA 2022

Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the Korean Orthopaedic Association (KOA), we cordially invite you to the 66th Annual international Congress
of Korean Orthopaedic Association, in Seoul, Korea from October 13 to 15, 2022. This is the largest gathering of
orthopaedic surgeons, nurses and allied personnel in Korea for academic and social activities. All Specialist Societies
have been involved in this Annual Meeting that has been open to international colleagues. Since its establishment in
1956, the Korean Orthopaedic Association has evolved to be one of the largest medical associations in the Republic of
Korea. Over the past 60 years, the Korean Orthopaedic Association has contributed to the clinical and academic fields of
orthopaedic surgery and has contributed to national healthcare by successfully organizing various national-level meetings
and congresses. 9
I would like to officially express my appreciation to the organizing committee members for preparing of the upcoming
congress. At this congress, we selected the latest knowledge in each field that the members of the KOA are interested
in and invited famous domestic instructors to deliver the lectures. In addition, professor Volker Musahl of University of
Pittsburgh and professor Lew Charles Schon of University of Maryland School of Medicine are scheduled to give the 정
plenary lectures. We invited about 40 well-known international scholars for the invited lectures and symposium sessions 형
including the current presidents of Asia-pacific Orthopaedic Associations such as Taiwan, Thailand, Japan, India, Iran, 외
Pakistan, APOA and more. This year, Thailand is selected as our Guest Nation and we are expecting a fruitful discussion
through the special session. Also, traveling fellows are recommended by prestige associations to deliver presentations to 과
add more vibrancy in networking. Since it will be conducted both online and offline and all in English, we would like to 학
encourage many foreign doctors to attend and enjoy the congress. I am confident that this congress will be a very useful 회
academic event for everyone attending. 소
The weather in Korea is outstanding and noteworthy especially in October to find the genuine beauty of Seoul which will 식
also satisfy social activities. In Seoul, a capital city for the last six centuries, you can experience Korean cultures of long
history and enjoy outdoor activities including windsurfing and rock mountain climbing just inside the city. The Organizing
Committee will try best to help your memorable stay in Seoul.
Looking at the current COVID-19 situation in Korea, we expect this situation to improve considerably in the fall. We hope
we can meet you in person in October 2022 when the congress will be held.
We would like to kindly ask you for a cooperation for the Congress both scientifically and socially. The success can only
be achieved by your active participation.
Finally, we look forward to having the honor to welcome you and all participants to the 66th Annual Congress of the KOA
in Seoul, Korea.
